Polyrhythm practice grid
Print the shared subdivisions of two rhythms and see exactly where each pulse belongs.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
This is a practice aid, not an assessment of intelligence, ability or health. Results vary with the task and conditions.

How it works
Divide the cycle into lcm(a,b) slots. Rhythm A sounds every lcm/a slots; rhythm B every lcm/b slots. Times exclude the repeated pulse at the next cycle start.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Subdivisions: 12
| Slot | Time (seconds) | Rhythm A | Rhythm B |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | 0.3333 | 0 | 0 |
| 3 | 0.6667 | 0 | 0 |
| 4 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
