Fabric cutting layout
Arrange rectangular fabric pieces across a fixed roll width. Pieces are not rotated, so you can preserve grain direction; seams must already be included in piece dimensions.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Measure materials and test a small sample before cutting, buying or building. Allow for real tolerances, waste and manufacturer instructions.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
Place non-rotated rectangles in shelves, highest pieces first. Include spacing between pieces and shelves; report a feasible, not optimal, length.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Feasible fabric length: 60 cm
- Unused area: 3000 cm²
| Piece | X cm | Y cm | Width cm | Height cm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Front | 0 | 0 | 40 | 60 |
| Front | 42 | 0 | 40 | 60 |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
