Japan amperage contract cost worksheet
Compare quoted contract base fees with a simple simultaneous-current estimate for a Japanese household.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Illustrative inputs are not certified current rates or an entitlement decision. Confirm the country, year, eligibility and contract. This limited model is not a tax return, payroll service or financial/legal advice. Do not act on it without verifying the applicable rules.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
Use current = watts / volts and compare with each entered nominal amperage. This is a rough single-voltage resistive-load model, not an electrical design or breaker recommendation. Split-phase circuits, 200V loads, starting current and utility contract conventions need an electrician or supplier.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Simple simultaneous-current estimate: 30 A
| Contract | Rated amperes | Monthly base fee | Meets simple estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plan 30A | 30 | 900 | Yes |
| Plan 40A | 40 | 1200 | Yes |
| Plan 50A | 50 | 1500 | Yes |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
