Germany mini-job and midi-job offer worksheet
Compare payroll quotes and classify pay against thresholds you enter. This worksheet does not invent social-insurance contributions from a gross amount.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Illustrative inputs are not certified current rates or an entitlement decision. Confirm the country, year, eligibility and contract. This limited model is not a tax return, payroll service or financial/legal advice. Do not act on it without verifying the applicable rules.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
Subtract the quoted employee deductions and show which entered threshold interval contains each wage. Example thresholds are illustrative. Combined jobs, variable pay, student status, pension exemptions and the transition-zone formula must be evaluated by the employer or official payroll service.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
| Job option | Monthly gross | Entered employee deductions | Cash before income tax | Threshold classification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Option A | 550 | 20 | 530 | Below entered mini threshold |
| Option B | 1200 | 130 | 1070 | Between entered thresholds |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
