What does a test score of 70 mean?
Try how different weights can give the same answers different scores.
Published: 1 October 2026 · Examples use the stated assumptions.A score depends on its measurement method
An online test result comes from the chosen questions, answer options and weights. Seeing 70/100 does not mean you scored higher than 70% of people. Such a ranking requires a comparison group and the distribution of its scores.
A transparent two-question model
Let the first question have a weight of 60 and the second 40. If the first answer earns full credit and the second half credit, the total is 60 + 20 = 80. Change the weights to 20 and 80, and the same answers give 20 + 40 = 60. The result changes even though the answers stay the same.
This workshop does not reproduce an actual test
The two-question example below illustrates weighting. Actual tests on this site may have more questions, reverse-scored answers and half-point rounding upwards. Read each test’s own explanation. This decimal model does not calculate its final score.
Use the result as a starting point, not a label
Do not assign a permanent trait to yourself or someone else based on a single number. Consider how context could change an answer. These entertainment tests do not provide clinical assessment or diagnosis. The weights shown here are illustrative, not a scientifically validated scale.
