How it works
Sign index = floor(longitude/30). Decan within sign = floor((longitude modulo 30)/10)+1. This geometric subdivision does not choose among historical systems of decan rulers.

For the worked example, the birth time is treated as known. Use only a verified birth time for your own calculation.
